YHTYEESTÄ
Floating Sofa Quartet on yhteispohjoismainen folk-nelikko Tanskasta, Suomesta ja Ruotsista. Yhtyeen käsityönä valmistetussa musiikissa kuuluvat pohjoisen metsien huurteiset havupuut, rätisevän takan lämpö sekä vastajauhetun kahvin tuoksu yhdistelmänä pohjoismaisia perinteitä, herkullisia harmonioita sekä akustisten instrumenttien lämpöistä sointia.
Esiintyminen on myös yhtyeen virallinen Suomen levynjulkaisukonsertti. Floating Sofa Quartet julkaisi toisen pitkäsoittonsa Neighbourhood lokakuussa 2018. FSQ on esiintynyt Pohjoismaiden lisäksi laajasti Euroopassa ja ollut ehdoilla useissa kategoriassa niin Danish Music Awardseissa kuin Ruotsin Värld- & Folkmusikgalassakin.

ABOUT THE BAND
Floating Sofa Quartet is a modern Nordic folk music ensemble consisting of four young musicians from Denmark, Sweden and Finland. With a unique combination of acoustic instruments the quartet performs handmade music with a scent of dewy pine trees, salty sea breezes and freshly brewed coffee.
The repertoire of Floating Sofa Quartet is a mixture of own compositions and traditional pieces from their respective countries: tender melodies and feisty dance tunes are performed with intriguing harmonies, intensity, humor and the warm sound of wooden instruments. Take a seat on the sofa and float away!

The Nordic Dance Christmas party is the official cd release concert in Finland. The band released their second album Neighbourhood in October 2018 on an European tour.
